Car returns to ebay 3/30/09 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-E-Type-1971-Jaguar-XKE-2-2-V-12-4-Speed-Ma ...
Car has a buy it now price of $19,900 for 6 days. Car now said to be located in Roswell, Georgia. 70k miles.
Sellers description:
1971 Jaguar XKE 2+2
4 Speed Manual Transmission
Clutch & Pressure Plate were just replaced. Runs & Shifts very smooth.
I bought this Jag in 2006 & have had much done to it. I bought from the seller in California where it had been all its life. The mileage of 70,577 is believed to be the original miles, with the original engine & transmission.
Some other repairs & parts include:
Distributor cap, Distributor rotor, Spark Plugs, Water Pump, Air Filter, Hose Kit Coolant, Transmission Mount Kit, Clutch, Oil Change & Filter. All were done within the last 500 miles.
Rare Color --- I had it repainted in it's Rare original color of Warwick Gray with it's original Black Leather Interior. It was a nice quality paint job without the usual problems on drips or unequal spraying. When I bought it, the paint was decent and without rust, but I wanted it really nice so I had it repainted. It was completed in Sept. of 2008. It has been garaged the entire time and never driven in the rain.
All bumpers were replaced with new chrome bumpers.
The Leather Seats are in very nice condition. Driver's seat shows some wear on the bolster but there are no tears & overall the seats are very nice.
By no means a perfect car but a very nice driver. It's been reliable & starts up everytime. I get a lot of Thumbs Up either when driving or at the gas station.
Four things Don't work
1. horn
2. radio
3. rear lights
4. tachometer
