Ebay item 6/10/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1971-Jaguar-E-Type-Coupe-/152579849901
Current bid US $4,750, no reserve, 3 bids 6 days left in auction, seller modfathercustom, mileage not reported.

Sellers description:
Own a classic Jaguar XKE E-Type for pennies on the dollar with this NO RESERVE auction. The vintage XKE appears to be complete and VERY solid minus the original drive-train which was long gone before I got the vehicle. The car appears to have been equipped from the factory with the V12 engine and 5 speed manual transmission however as stated, both are no longer with the vehicle so the car is being sold as a roller.

The exterior body panels look to be in VERY good condition and virtually free of rust as does the original floors, firewall, engine cradle and bonnet as well as trunk/hatch. The only rust holes I could see on the Jaguar were two areas in the bottom of the trunk area (by the gas tank) and a small hole in the passenger front floor about the size if a half dollar.

I was going to do a LS1 or small block Chevy conversion with the car however due to so many other projects that I'm trying to get completed I have decided to sell the project for someone else to build and enjoy instead. Included with the car is a TH350 transmission that could be used if you go the sbc or LS route. This car will be an absolute BLAST to drive with a modern fuel injected, all aluminum LS-1 motor backed with a T-56 6-speed transmission, however finding and reinstalling and original Jaguar V-12 is always a great option as well.

The interior has been removed from the Jaguar and is currently just sitting inside the vehicle but is included with the sale as well as the stainless steel trim work. The car has a brand new set of chrome spoked wheels and new tires that have zero miles on them. Also, some of the window felts and trim has been already purchased and included with the car.

What you see is what you are buying as the pictures were taken just before writing this posting. The car is being sold as a project so please be sure to bring a trailer or send a transporter for this reason.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
