We took the car to Florida to sell, and we ended up selling it at a Kruse auction near Naples. The link above from pauls is apparently the new owner selling it already. I'd assume it is probably in Florida still though.

This 1971 Jaguar XKE is a Series III 2+2 coupe finished in red over tan leather, and it is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes four Stromberg carburetors, four-wheel disc brakes, power-assisted steering, chrome-finished knock-off wire wheels, air conditioning, and an AM/FM radio. The car was acquired by the current owner from the selling dealer in 2013, and subsequent service is said to have included paintwork, a rebuild of the alternator, fluid changes, and servicing of the cooling, steering, and brake systems. This XKE is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with an owner’s manual and a Massachusetts title.
The 2+2 model featured a 105″ wheelbase, and the Series III was equipped with a larger front grille than earlier models as well as re-positioned and larger front indicators and tail lights below the bumpers. This example is finished in red that the selling dealer believes was partially repainted during prior ownership, and during current ownership paintwork was performed on the hood.
Chrome-finished 15” wire wheels are secured with short-eared knock-offs and wear BFGoodrich Silvertown white-stripe tires. A matching spare fitted with a Dunlop radial is stored in the rear compartment. Braking is managed by four-wheel discs, and the car is equipped with a replacement power steering rack fitted in 2016 according to the selling dealer.
Cabin finishes include tan leather upholstery accompanied by matching door panels and interior trim. The car is equipped with air conditioning, and a vintage AM/FM radio is retained in the center stack. Wear is visible on the control surfaces.
The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of factory Smiths instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and an analog clock and other auxiliary gauges in the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 46k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added by the current owner. The Massachusetts title carries a Not Actual Mileage brand, and total mileage is unknown.
The 5.3-liter V12 is equipped with four Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was factory rated at 272 horsepower, which is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Maintenance completed in 2020 is said to have included a general inspection, an oil change, and replacement of the brake master cylinder. Engine-block stamping 7S 3250 SA is shown above and matches the engine number listed on the data plate affixed to the firewall.
