Some additional details from the second auction:
Vehicle Condition: The car has been looked at by two mechanics. Here are the details. The paint looks great on the road. The car really shines, as the photos portray. If you look closely at the hood at just the right angle, you'll notice that the paint bubbled in some areas after it was painted. This is usually caused by dust under the new paint. The car doesn't have any rust on the body, but if you flip open the door to the gas cap there was some minor repair work done before painting just around the gas cap - where these cars tend to rust first. The interior looks great. The A/C works and blows pretty cold. You can hear the compressor at work when you turn the A/C on high. Also, the speakers need to be reconnected to the original Blaupunkt radio, the gas gauge has recently stopped responding, and the seat belts were removed (although we have them). The engine runs great, but it's lost some power when you "floor it". Bad gas was probably the culprit from the winter hibernation. The carburetor may have some residue in it and should be cleaned. I took lots of photos in order to best convey its condition to you.
