This smart, bright blue 1973 Automatic was purchased by the vendor's father back in 1976. He drove it for a few years as his every day car, before retiring it for use on high-days and holidays. It was finally taken off the road and put in its dry garage in 1999, the speedometer reading some 6,800 miles. The vendor knows that the speedometer was replaced at some time, although sadly his late father's paperwork has got lost, but believes that it cannot have covered more than 25,000 miles from new.

At some point, not long before it was put away, it was given a respray in its original shade of blue. Other than that, it is thought to be particularly original and unmolested.

The vendor had a professional mechanic start the car a few years back, and it has recently been fired up again, the vendor intending to have the car recommissioned, thoroughly serviced and offered with an MOT.

A genuine RHD, UK supplied car, it is rare to find one that has had so few owners and seen so little use and looks most tempting given the meteoric rise in E-Type values of late.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
