Lot 1945 at Richard Edmonds Auctions sale of Classic Cars and Automobilia on Saturday, 5 March. This primrose example is an original right hand drive car that has covered just 58,000 miles. It was dry stored for many years and has now been re-commissioned with a new battery, alternator, brake master cylinder and a new MOT. It is in very good condition throughout having had a factory replacement engine just 8,000 miles ago before being put into long term storage. The engine and mechanical condition is very good and the car is ready for immediate use. The current MOT expires in December and the car is sold with a small pile of paperwork that includes a selection of old MOT's and the V5c. Not sold.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
