Car was stored for many years and had minor floor rust and surface rust due to poor storage facilities. Previuos owner had a quality bare metal repaint to the exterior but didn't attend to the interior or engine bay. These areas are now being restored and the final imaculate car will be back on the road late 2003. Full restoration details and photos can be found on the web at etypejag.jaguar-register.com (just add http:// in front of address)

Comments from the above supplied address:
My E-Type is an original Australian delivered Coupe that was manufactured in February 1972. It is number 1,148 of 2,116 right hand drive series III V12 Coupes built. Only 114 of these cars were originally imported into Australia by Leyland, which makes it a very rare vehicle in Australia. It is not known how many of the original 114 still exist.
Following an extensive bare metal restoration the car was entered in the Concourse d’Etat at the 2004 Australian National Jaguar Rally in Canberra, where it came away with a Silver Award. With more attention to some minor areas it will be more than capable of receiving Gold awards in the future.
