This genuine early UK right-hand drive manual Jaguar E-Type Coupé, originally registered on 17th June 1971, presents a rare opportunity for enthusiasts and collectors looking to own a piece of automotive history. Perfect for enjoying those fine British summer days, this iconic E-Type, with 58,440 miles on the clock, has a rich history but requires some tinkering to return it to its full glory.
While the car does run and drive, the vendor notes that it could benefit from a carburettor tune and some light recommissioning having been in long term storage with very few recent miles covered. That said, they are confident it would pass an MOT without major issues.
With a little attention, this E-Type could be ready to turn heads once again on the road. The car is a perfect candidate for a light restoration or recommissioning, ideal for someone looking for a rewarding project. Whether you're looking to make it a weekend driver or keep it as a classic for special occasions, this Jaguar E-Type will be a fantastic addition to any Collection or a great car to enjoy when the weather turns warmer.

This lovely dark blue 2+2 coupe is car number 169 of the 2,116 RHD coupes built before production ended. Beautifully finished outside and with a smart grey leather cabin, it is a fine-looking car with chrome wires and white banded tyres. Key to its appeal will surely be that 4spd manual box and big Webasto-style sunroof.
Since 2023 the car has received significant work. Highlights include rebuilding the rear axle, replacing the front brakes and fitting new gas shock absorbers all round. The front and rear calipers have also been replaced. The vendor has undertaken further recommissioning to obtain an advisory-free MOT.
The engine is said to be leak-free and the car is said to ‘run beautifully’ with no issues. It comes to market with a very useful voluntary MOT, which gives added transparency to buyers. The test runs to May 2026 with no advisories.
