We have, over the years, sold many Jaguar 'E' Type V12 Roadsters but we are especially pleased to offer you today our first 'commemorative' model. When the decision was taken to end the production of the 'E' type, the last fifty cars were retained to be a special commemorative edition blessed with a plaque by Sir William Lyons himself.
This example has the more desirable manual transmision and it still has the original chrome pressed wheels fitted, a few cars have had wire wheels fitted to them retrospectively, but all the 'commemorative' models left the Browns Lane factory with the pressed wheels.
This exceptional car has had only three former keepers from new with the previous owner acquiring the car back in 1989 for his collection. As you would expect these cars are only driven in fine conditions and this example has been very carefully kept and maintained, its condition fully reflecting the believed recorded mileage of 17300 miles.
The 'E' type is the most famous model in Jaguar's history and with so few made, commemorative models are extremely rare. This is a rare opportunity to acquire an example of the most sought after model from the 'E' type range.
The car comes with its Heritage Trust Certificate, a current M.O.T. certificate until April 2000 and the all important brass commemorative plaque.
