Car was Lot 72 at Brightwells auction 2 March 2011.

First registered in Wolverhampton in August 1974, this particular V12 roadster is a truly exceptional car that has had just three owners from new and reputedly covered only 18,700 miles to date. Apart from some areas of rectification to the Azure Blue paintwork, the whole car is original and unrestored with factory perfect panels and a beautifully preserved light tan interior. Fitted with the desirable manual gearbox and a rare factory hardtop, it had one owner from 1979 to 2006 and formed part of a private collection, being taxed every year but covering nominal mileage. The current vendor acquired the car five years ago and has used it only very sparingly. It benefits from chrome wire wheels and a stainless steel exhaust.

Privately listed for sale on the Car and Classic website. Beautiful V12 E type roadster with biscuit leather interior. An original RHD UK vehicle with all matching numbers and original body panels. It has total recorded mileage of only 20,070 miles from new in August 1974. Car has had 3 previous owners and comes with a Jaguar Heritage certificate confirming all matching numbers for the body, engine and gearbox. The Jaguar was purchased new from Howell's of Wolverhampton and has remained in the area ever since. The Jaguar is used on a regular basis with proven reliability.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
