I currently received this lovely e-type into my inventory from its first owner. I personally own a 3.8 MkII and several other English cars. Of all the e-types I have had for sale over the years, this is one of my favorites!

Sellers description:
Nice 1969 Jaguar XKE E-Type 4.2 Liter Roadster for sale. Well cared for mostly original rust free car with numbers matching motor. Recently serviced and in top running and driving condition with tight suspension, brakes and steering. Correctly fitted with Redline tires. Starts, runs and purrs beautifully with no smoke, healthy oil pressure and terrific power and acceleration. Car is ready to use for summer right now with confidence. Older, average re-spray of the original and rarely seen Ascot Fawn. Completely original interior with the exception of the recent re-upholstered center armrest. The top I am told is also original. Includes, spare, jack and complete tool kit as well as books along with original sales documents and even the customer identification card.

This 1969 Jaguar XKE Roadster is a Series II example finished in Ascot Fawn over Cinnamon leather upholstery and is powered by a 4.2-liter straight-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes chrome bumpers with overriders, a black soft top, a wood-rim steering wheel, and an aftermarket AM/FM cassette stereo. The car spent time in New York State and later made its way to California where it reportedly remained since 1971 before being acquired by the current owner in 2013. This XKE is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, manufacturer’s literature, service records, and a clean California title in the name of the owner’s retail car dealership.
The body was factory finished in Ascot Fawn and is said to have undergone a repaint under previous ownership. Exterior touches include chrome trim and bumpers with overriders along with a black soft top. Evidence of overspray resulting from the repaint is noted, and the windshield was reportedly replaced under previous ownership. Bodywork is said to have been performed on the inside of the front fascia, delamination is noted in the windshield, and the seal for the driver-side headlamp is in need of replacement.
Chrome 15″ wire-spoke wheels with knock-off hubs are mounted with 185-series Coker Classic red-line tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs. One of the wire spokes is missing on the passenger-side rear wheel.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in Cinnamon leather with matching door panels, sills, and carpeting along with a contrasting black dashboard. Amenities include a wood shift knob, a locking glove compartment, an aftermarket AM/FM cassette stereo, and a heater. The clock mounted in the center stack does not work, and wear can be seen on the seating surfaces.
A wood-rim steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, while gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure are housed in the center stack. The five-digit odometer indicates 66k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features dual overhead camshafts and is fueled by dual Stromberg carburetors. Engine number 7R2743-9 matches the factory engine number indicated on the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate. Service reportedly performed under current ownership included replacing the exhaust system and spark plug wires along with performing an oil change. Rust is noted on the battery tray.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. Additional photos of the underbody are viewable in the gallery below.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate shows a December 11, 1968 manufacture date along with factory colors and and serial numbers. Manufacturer’s literature and service records are also included in the sale.
The car is being offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner, a California retail dealer, and the transaction will be processed through a licensed retail dealership.

This 1969 Jaguar XKE is a Series II roadster that is finished in Ascot Fawn over Cinnamon leather upholstery and is powered by a 4.2-liter straight-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes chrome bumpers with overriders as well as a black soft top, 15″ wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and an AM/FM cassette stereo. The car is said to have remained registered in California from 1971 until it was listed on BaT in June 2022, and it was acquired by the seller on BaT in September 2022. Subsequent work included refurbishing portions of the floor pans along with replacing the fuel pump and weather seals. This XKE is now offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean Nevada title in the seller’s name.
The car was finished from the factory in Ascot Fawn and was reportedly repainted under previous ownership. Exterior details include chrome bumpers with overriders as well as bright trim, a louvered hood, a black soft top, and polished dual exhaust outlets. Work under previous ownership is said to have included bodywork on the inside of the front fascia and replacing the windshield. The seller states that work following their acquisition included replacing portions of the exterior weather stripping and the seals for the soft top. Delamination is noted in the windshield, there is a split in the top above the right door.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, while gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure are housed in the center stack. The five-digit odometer indicates 66k miles, approximately 30 of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with dual overhead camshafts, twin Stromberg carburetors, and a replacement exhaust system that was installed under precious ownership. The seller states that service performed in preparation for the sale included an oil change, replacing the fuel pump and lines, adjusting the hood latches, and refreshing the underside of the hood.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. Additional photos of the underbody are viewable in the gallery below. Dents in the front floor pans were repaired and undercoated under current ownership.
