As of April 2014, I own this car.
As you can see from Paul's comments above, I have had to redo much of the work supposedly done in 2005 to 7. New brakes totally..ball joints, wheel bearings the lot... Exhaust was about 20 pieces of pipe welded together...so all replaced with new..
Am currently converting to RHD
Am currently converting to 5 speed manual.

This Jaguar E-Type Series 2 4.2 2+2 is an elegant and sought-after classic British sports car, which benefits from an extensive previous restoration and has been enhanced with discerning upgrades.
Under the bonnet sits a naturally aspirated 4.2-litre straight-six, fed by twin SU carburettors, which sends its power to the rear wheels via a retrofitted five-speed manual transmission.
This example was originally a US-delivered model, which was later imported to Australia, where it was converted to right-hand drive.
It has now been with the seller and reportedly third owner for nine years.
The odometer indicates 57,300 miles, though this is not warranted.
Build year: 1969
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
This E-Type Series 2 4.2 2+2 is finished in an eye-catching shade of purple, over a beige leather-trimmed interior, featuring a black dashboard, and chrome trim highlights.
It rides on a set of 15-inch cross-spoke wire wheels with knock-offs, fitted with Uniroyal Radial A/S tyres.
Equipment includes Smiths gauges, push-out rear windows, an analogue clock, dashboard rocker switches, heater and ventilation controls, and a locking glove compartment.
This example has been enhanced with updated SU HD8 carburettors, a five-speed manual gearbox with an aluminium flywheel and Dellow bell housing, a RetroSound stereo, a 14-inch wood-rimmed steering wheel, Dynamat insulation applied to the floor and roof areas, a stainless-steel exhaust system from SNG Barratt, and HiD headlights and new power antenna.
The car comes with three keys, a detailed list of works completed, some receipts, and documentation including a copy of an earlier Club Permit registration.
CONDITION
Specific notes from the seller include: the exterior presents with some paint damage to the rear door, reportedly caused during transport when customs attempted to open it forcefully, some prior paintwork has been carried out to address transport-related damage, and the interior has been re-trimmed, including new door cards, carpets, headlining, and sun visors.
The car’s last roadworthiness test was conducted in 2014, which is understood to have resulted in a clean pass.
