I bought this car Sept 2008 for $20k. It was definitely not worth any more than that...in need of a fair amount of engine/etc TLC. I was able to drive it home, but it conked out a few months later, needing an alternator replacement. Have also done suspension work, complete rework on cooling system, new tires (one blew out from dry rot on drive home). Have had throttle worked over and carb rebuild. New shocks coming soon, replacement air filters, etc. Already had electronic ignition installed; I put on a new regulator (old one probably original, was bad, boiling the battery).

Originally light blue inside/out, it is now BRG/black. I wish it wasn't black, that's pretty uncomfortable in the summer. It had the A/C compressor/radiator like there had been A/C at one point, but all the interior parts were gone.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
