Seen on eBay, 5/2003. Ad reads:
"You are bidding on an un-restored 1969 Classic E-type Jaguar 2+2. This car has 53424 actual miles. The car has been in dry Arizona since new, so there is NO RUST. Even the spare tire well has origional paint on it with no rust. This car sat for a number of years and will need to be freshened up. The interior is in great condition, no seat tears good carpet etc. The body of the car is truley rust free and there are no sigs of accident repairs. The engine runs very well, and carries correct oil pressure. The car will move under its own power, but I have not driven it. The brakes pump up, but I would not rely on them without service. All of the guages and swithces function, cooling fan motors squeal. Factory installed A/C, the Compressor is missing. Other wise the car is complete, solid, amd ready to restore, or freshen up and us as a daily driver."

Car returns to ebay 3/28/05 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $4,050.00 (Reserve not met), 10 bids, 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 coupe with automatic transmission.
Recent work that has been done:
* New Brake master cylinder.
* 2 new fan motors on radiator cooling system
* New fuel pump
* Gas tank flushed and cleaned
* Original wooden steering wheel and gear selector have been refinished.
* Windshield was replaced two years ago
Items I planned on addressing:
* Windshield wipers are off and the mounts are not usable but a wiper rack will come with the car along with the wipers, so they just need to be installed.
* The car looks presentable from 30 feet, but should be repainted. The car was originally silver but has been repainted white by a previous owner. From the condition of the paint, it looks like that was done some time ago. The body is in great shape. The car came to me from Arizona so the floors and frame are very solid.
* The window seals are very dry except for the front which was replaced several years ago. A new rear hatch door seal comes with the car.
* The car has non-working AC.
* The interior overall is decent but the headliner and carpets need replacing.
* The dash cover is cracked in several places but should be very easy to replace.
All in all, this car needs mostly cosmetic work to be a great looking daily driver and club car.
I am selling the car because I no longer have the room to keep it. It is stored inside and I need the space. A custom fit car cover goes with the car.

Thanks for updating that the car is moving from Orange Park, Fla but could you please complete the entry by adding the other numbers (engine, gearbox, and body numbers) off of the data plate? Thanks

Car returns to ebay 4/23/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-Jaguar-XKE-2-2-Series-II-/320689394123
Opening bid $10,000, no reserve 1 bid 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
New headliner, new radiator, hoses & belts, new exhaust system, new high output alternator, new dash cover, new Optima battery, new steering wheel, new springs and shocks, new R134a Air Conditioning, complete with new hoses but original evaporator, new tires with matching spare, new Master and Slave cylinders, and the fuel system is converted for ethanol. The rear end was apparently rebuilt prior to my purchase in 2005. JCNA 2010 Slalom time 49.827 seconds. Car is known affectionately as 'All that Jazz' by the Jaguar Club of Tulsa. The car has an automatic transmission, the original Jaguar 4.2 liter engine, the body is good and straight, with no rust or damage, and the air conditioning works better than the original. The car comes with jack, owner manual, car cover, new door rubber, and other spare part items.
Negatives: Seats were replaced by an earlier owner and are not original, carpet is original and worn, clock does not work, the car needs paint and blemish repairs, and like most cats, she is compelled to mark the garage floor.
Positives: This is now a reliable car and you can drive it anywhere. The steering is right on for high speed touring.
Reason for Selling: I love this car, but my wife says I can only drive one Jaguar at a time, and she complains that she is now too mature for taking long trips in an XKE.
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
