Ebay item 8/30/17

Opening bid US $42,490, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction, seller carcountry1, car now said to be in Payson, Utah, 92k miles.

Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar XKE
No reserve Auction
92,000 original miles!! Jaguar XKE in beautiful condition inside and out.

I purchased this car from the original owner who kept receipts for almost all maintenance including engine rebuild. This is a mostly original car that has been garaged and maintained throughout the years with one repaint (of the original red). The 4.2l engine was totally rebuilt on 02-2016 by a Jag service shop and I have the receipts to verify the work. No rust, fires right up, runs and drives great, new tires, this car is ready to drive or show. The previous owner maintained and cared for the car very well. I have always garaged and babied the car myself and only take it out for shows or the occasional Sunday drive. It has an auto trans and original leather seats, wire wheels, will not disappoint.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
