Car has a buy it now price of $24,750 for 20 days. Complete VIN on this car is J691R40558BW.
Sellers description:
This classic E-type has been carefully driven & maintained. Accident- and rust-free. Professionally stripped to bare metal (no Bondo) and meticulously resprayed in original color. Purchased through broker from original owner; all receipts from Day One. Due to prior prolonged storage, compressed piston rings required replacement. Also installed: racing cam and proper triple SU carbs, maximizing robust performance. Twin Stromberg carbs, originally fitted to meet US import requirements, come with this 66,203-mile vehicle which runs flawlessly. Its strong motor is considered by most enthusiasts to be Jaguar's best, a time-test straight-6 workhorse. Automatic transmission shifts smoothly, rack and pinion steering is tight and precise, and suspension is excellent. New battery, upgraded electronic fuel pump, recent leather headrests and armrest, recent correct wool carpeting and grey headliner and sunvisors. Original upholstery on door and kick panels, dash and luggage area all in great condition. Leather seats are age cracked and, though serviceable, will need recovering. Rear seat folds forward to stow, enlarging luggage capacity. Consistant with vehicle's originality, upgrades were made discreetly by installing stereo AM/FM cassette with supplemental rear speakers, improved manual choke controlling triple SU carbs, and daytime running lights tucked into front 'mouth'. Included are owner's and shop manuals, as well as original tool pouch with jack and knock-off mallet for wire wheels, two of which would benefit from re-chroming. Car holds a deep shine and is dent- and blemish-free, except for one very small patch of bubbles on the lower section of driver's door (zoom in on attached photo, looking horixontally for bubbles just below reflection glare). Proper stainless exhaust pipes. Chrome is original and in good condition for its age. Glass is original; windshield gasket is age-cracked though fully functional. All components work as new, except for electric clock. It is a driver; not a 'trailer queen'.
