Ebay item 8/14/08 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Jaguar-E-Type-Automatic-4-2-6-Cylinder-2-2 ...
Current bid $6,766 reserve not met, 10 bids, 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
I purchased this car for my wife as many believe that the E-Type is the sexiest and most stylish of sports car. During our trips to Las Vegas and San Francisco we always received waves and complements from other drivers.
The ignition has been upgraded to an electronic ignition system, and the rear end ratio increased 1:1.415 resulting in an average fuel economy on our last Las Vegas trip of approximately 22 MPG with careful driving. (When the car is travelling at 60 MPH the speedo is reading 45 MPH).
The paint appears to be original with some crazing on the hood. The car appears to be rust free and is a Californian car. There are some chips to the paint, where other car doors have hit the sides of the Jaguar and there is a shallow curved dent on the top of the drivers side of the hood. The upoholstry is in good condition except fot the top of the rear seats under the rear window, where there are some cracks from exposure to the sun through the rear window.
The car has been stored in our garage over the past few years as we are renovating a historic building which is consuming all of our spare time and is now running over our original renovation budget, this being the reason for this listing. When driving the car out of the garage to photograph it, I found that the brakes need urgent attention. (probably new O-rings, seals and brake fluid).

Car returns to ebay 5/29/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-California-Jaguar-E-Type-Low-Documented-Miles-/2207 ...
Current bid $10,000, 1 bid, 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $27,500. Same location, 64k miles.
Sellers description:
This 1969 Jaguar E-Type 2+2, is exceptional and can easily be brought to concourse condition with minimal effort. However, in its current condition, the Jaguar is well suited as a reliable, gorgeous driver and showpiece. She handles, performs, and looks amazing. This Jaguar is also an all number matching classic!
The Jaguar is originally from California and recently made its way to Indiana around three years ago. The original owner, as well as the second owner here in Indiana, did an amazing job maintaining this classic timepiece. I received this Jaguar in an all original state, excluding an old aftermarket radio, which was replaced. Immediately after purchasing the Jaguar, I had the body taken down to the sheet metal and painted in its original color. Under the original paint, no rust was found at all! The under carriage and the remainder of the E-Type is also rust free. In fact, the sheet metal is in such good condition, all the factory welds and seams are visible. (Please see pictures)
The mileage is slightly over 64,000 miles and is documented, original, and stated as actual on the title. The mileage may vary by a few miles due to a test drive and an occasional lap around the freeway!
This E-type is very reliable and drives well. The engine has plenty of power to give at any given moment. She drives straight as an arrow and is best suited for the freeway and long distances. The brakes operate well, with the exception of the rear passenger caliber releasing slowly at times. This usually occurs during frequent stops, and seldom happens during longer trips, once the fluids get flowing. This does not cause any pull or drag during driving and does not affect the functionality of the brakes, or it would be immediately addressed.
The oil pressure is perfect and maintains a consistent balance between 25 and 30. The cooling temperature is also perfect! The voltage is very steady as well, with the alternator running a good charge. However, I would recommend a newer battery with higher cranking amperage if the vehicle is not going to be driven weekly. If the Jaguar is driven weekly, the battery maintains a good charge and is reliable.
All of the electrical systems function properly, which the exception of the clock and fuel gauge. The fuel gage works at times when the gas tank is filled past the halfway mark. Below that, the gauge begins to float. The main headlight switch also needs to be replaced and only functions when she wants to. However the high beams do work, but I do not drive my classics after dusk. The switch is very simple to replace and is an inexpensive fix.
The body is in amazing condition and is all original sheet metal. All of the body lines are very straight including the doors, bonnet, and the boot. All of the weather seals are new and perfect excluding the rear window hatch seal, which is presentable and functional. All of the chrome is very presentable with very little signs of aging. However, on the bottom of the front chrome bumper, there is a scratch that is not very noticeable. All of the original chrome is present with the vehicle and fits nicely. The paint is the original color and is the Jaguars first full repaint. The paint is laid nicely and shows very well. In the pictures you will see a small paint flaw that is smaller than a head of a pencil.
The interior is in great shape and all original excluding the carpet, radio, and its console. The leather is soft and presents well. The only noticeable flaw is a small area on the top of the back seat. It appears the some small areas of the leather on the top of the back seat have been repaired. The repairs are presentable but not flawless. The Jaguar also needs a series two ash tray. These are the only flaws in the entire interior. The headliner is fitted well, as is the center console and carpet. Also, the glove box is sturdy and shuts nicely.
