Vehicle Description
1969 Series II Jaguar XKE 2+2. Responds to the name: “Bianca.” 4.2 Liter in-line six cylinder engine. Automatic transmission. Purchased as a solid example of this “family sports car” in 2000, we have invested much to bring her back to daily driving condition. E-mail me for a complete list of repairs performed by the best Jaguar shop in the Washington, DC area, and I will fax the invoices to you. Partial list of restorative repairs: new rubber all around (hoses, tires, inner tubes), new brakes and master cylinder, new walnut steering wheel, new gas tank (not just lined with epoxy), recently tuned and carbs cleaned. Jan. 2004 Virginia state safety inspection. Restored in the German style—no expense was spared on any mechanical issues, but little attention paid to the cosmetic issues. Note: this is a drivers car, and not in show condition. However, she is in top form and has excellent performance (quickness, speed, and handling). The engine configuration appears to be original with the exception that a previous owner replaced the Series II dual carburetor with series I triple. Result: a little more work to tune, and a bit more gas needed, but much better acceleration.
The exterior is "Cream" (one shade off White). The body is (amazingly) solid. There is only one small mar on the paint on the driver-side door. Knock-off chrome wire rims in good condition (Jaguar wheel mallet and bronze spinner tool included plus one spare inner tube).
Interior is black leather. Only mar in the seats is a approximately 2 inch crack in the rear seat back. 8 track player. AM/FM radio. No A/C.
Bianca has been a great, fun daily driver, but would be an incredible vintage racer.
Car has a Buy-It-Now price of US $13,000.00
