Ebay item 6/17/20
www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Jaguar-E-Type-2-door/174318905656
Opening bid US $1,000 reserve not met 0 bids 6 days left in auction seller sk8high123, 75k miles, Memphis, Tennessee
Seller's description:
1969 Jaguar Xke rolling chassis this original rust free Jag would be a great project for someone to move over there original drive train if their Jag has been rusted out over the years. You do not find too many that have excellent floors, doors, and trunk area as nice is the jag. Once again if you are looking to do an engine swap or go back original this would be a nice car to do it with, without going through the typical Jaguar rust repair which is very pricey and expensive to do so.

This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II 2+2 is a partially-refurbished project that was acquired by the seller out of Tennessee in 2020. It has been repainted in Pale Primrose and is equipped with a 4.2-liter inline-six linked with a replacement four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Reupholstered and replacement interior components, a spare set of wheels, and other parts accompany the vehicle and are shown in the gallery. This XKE 2+2 is now offered as a non-running project in Westport, Connecticut at no reserve with the owner’s manual, spare parts, a prior Tennessee title, and a bill of sale.
The car was repainted in Pale Primrose during the refurbishment in 2025, and exterior equipment includes a driver-side mirror, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, a louvered clamshell hood, and dual exhaust outlets. The rear windows are not installed.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by rounded knock-offs and are mounted with Pirelli P4000 tires measuring 205/70. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. Work in 2025 involved replacing the lower ball joints, tie rod ends, steering rack boots and mounts, and subframe mounts.
The cabin has been largely stripped apart from the dash and lower air conditioning vents.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 41k miles.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new. A tubular exhaust header is fitted. The water pump was rebuilt in April 2025.
A replacement four-speed manual transmission was installed in 2023, while the driveshaft was rebuilt and the U-joints replaced in 2025. The front frame was replaced in 2023.
Reupholstered black seats and replacement interior components accompany the vehicle along with a wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel, a wiring harness, and a number of other parts.
The car is not currently registered, and it is being offered on a bill of sale.
