This 1969 Jaguar 'E' Type Series 2 2+2 was bought new by a hairdresser, no comments please, in Norwich and then it was sold to the second owner for ú1500 when it had a recorded mileage of only 40000 miles. The third, and previous, owner kept it for some time before selling it to the present, fourth, owner and vendor in 1989.
In the present owners hands the engine has been rebuilt and he informs us that it has covered very little mileage since the rebuild and he further certifies the mileage of 83000 miles as warranted from new. It also benefits from having the manual transmission and is described as being in good condition throughout and in the history file there are photocopies of the details of the former keepers as well as various paperwork showing work that has been carried out over the years.
Please note that the photograph used is of a similar car.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
