First registered June 1970 (H Reg) this Jaguar E-Type Series 2, 2+2 Fixed Head Coupé was according to the old-style Heritage Trust certificate, originally supplied by Parkers Jaguar. It is finished in Westminster (Navy) Blue with Black Leather this manual gearbox car is unusually fitted with both power steering and a sliding steel sun-roof which was believed to be fitted from new; it has been in its most recent ownership since July 2009 where we took the car in part exchange direct from the owner. This E-Type presents very well indeed with a good depth of shine to the paint on a dead straight body, an extremely tidy cockpit and good chrome wire wheels with new tyres fitted less than 1, 000 miles ago.

In 2011 at 78, 500 miles the engine was rebuilt by the Jaguar Workshop of London W6 at a cost of £6, 200 with new pistons, piston rings, main and big end bearings, oil pump gaskets and timing chains fitted at that time. 82, 800 miles are now showing on the odometer and although referring to the old MoT certificates on file we believe this to be correct, given the car’s age we cannot warrant this. Given how lively this car feels on the road, it is likely that component were balanced and lightened - it goes like a train!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
