This very original Jaguar E-Type Coupé 2 + 2 has only covered 78,740 miles from new which is verified by the continuous history and old MoT certificates which come with the car. The vendor is the third owner; the first lady owner had the car for about eighteen months before Donald Eric Frost, the owner of John Bull Tyres, purchased the car from her. Donald was over 6 feet 5 inches tall, so to be able to drive the car comfortably he had a smaller Moto-Lita steering wheel fitted and the horn push moved to the side of the driving position. The vendor purchased this E-Type from him in September 1985 and has driven the car less than 1,000 miles a year. The car was repainted about eight years ago in the original colour of Regency Red and retains the original beige leather interior. Within the last twelve months, the headlining has been replaced with the correct West of England cloth and whilst in the garage having one of the radiator fan motors being replaced, it was decided to investigate a slight misfire to the engine. This resulted in removing the cylinder head and replacing a valve and overhauling the cylinder head, and at the same time electronic ignition was also fitted. The car is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in July 2012, a large history file with all the old MoT test certificates proving the low mileage, a Jaguar certificate confirming the original numbers of the car, an original handbook in its own wallet and the original tool kit.

1969 E Type S2 FHC 2+2 automatic finished in its original colour combination of regency red with biscuit leather interior. This genuine UK RHD numbers matching example comes with automatic transmission, chrome wire wheels, current V5C and history file. This superb, unmolested example has been well cared for all its life, which is substantiated by its totally original, untouched interior. The bodywork is excellent and the panel fit is extremely good.
