This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II coupe was sold new by Brentwood Motors in Santa Monica, California, and was acquired by the seller in 1991. The car is finished in green over tan leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ steel wheels, dual Stromberg carburetors, four-wheel disc brakes, a louvered clamshell bonnet, bullet-style side mirrors, and a Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo. This XKE is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, a car cover, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.
The seller notes that the car left the factory finished in Sable and that two dents were removed from the bonnet under current ownership before the exterior was refinished in British Racing Green. Exterior details include a louvered clamshell bonnet, Union Jack badges, bullet-style side mirrors, pop-out rear quarter windows, and a wrap-around rear bumper. The window frame and hatch seals are said to have been replaced in May 2022. The windshield washer pump does not work, and there is a dent behind the right-side door and paint chips around the body.Bright-finished 15″ wheels are mounted with 205/70 Pirelli P5 tires that show cracking in the sidewalls. A full-size spare is located in the rear storage area. The four-wheel disc brakes feature inboard-mounted rear rotors. The seller reports that the steering rack boots are torn.
The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in tan leather accompanied by a color-matched console, door panels, and carpets. Service under current ownership includes reupholstering the seats and console in addition to rebuilding the radio console. Equipment includes a Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo, lap belts, and rocker switches for vehicle functions. The removed Blaupunkt Frankfurt AM/FM radio is included in the sale and pictured in the gallery below. The heater fan does not work, and the seller notes that the center dash panel is difficult to open. The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with dual Stromberg carburetors and finned valve covers. The air conditioning compressor has been removed, and the alternator has been repositioned. An oil change was performed in May 2022. The seller notes oil seepage.
