Modified as a race replica prior to the previous owner you will either love or loathe the flared rear wheel arches and alloys! The arches look to have been professionally done in their time but needing some attention now - or maybe return to original for the purist.

Owned by the previous owner since December 1985 a new S3 bonnet was fitted 1989 at a cost of £1325 from Martin Robeys (receipt available) to accommodate the wider front wheels. Not used since 2000.

The car is basically complete, it starts first turn of the key (but noisy as no exhaust fitted). She needs some work to be put back on the road.

Key features:

Webasto sunroof

Inner and outer sills replaced

Basically complete - although looks never to had the rear bumper since the wheel arch conversion..

Air filter box available though not shown.

Has been kept garaged

Large stack of previous MOT's

And now some of the work needed...

Needs welding in passenger side floorpan, boot floor, NS radius arm mounting

Needs LHS lower picture frame welding or replacement as there evidence of jacking in the wrong place and crack

Replace brake hoses/pipes

Check brake system

Needs complete exhaust - manifolds are present

Brake pads

Front brake disks

All water hoses - are present but has been sitting for a long time

Door skins

Starter relay

Tailgate needs attention- (A good spare is available including glass)

General bodywork attention and maybe more- a great project car.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
