Sellers comment:
1970 Jaguar E-Type Roadster, dark blue with grey leather interior. This car was a barn find about nine months ago (the tax on the screen at the time read March 1976), since then it has been subject to nut & bolt restoration, in breif...a bare metal re-spray (when striped, body was perfect) to original colour Jaguar dark blue, all chrome redone, engine fully re-built (hepolite pistons) complete new braking system installed, gear box checked and new borg & beck three piece clutch fitted. Front & rear suspension rebuilt, all new shocks, carbs rebuilt to concours condition, new carpets, new dark blue mohair hood, new stainless exhaust, new chrome wires and spinners and even found new dunlop 185 VR 15 SP sport tyres. The car is still on its green log book, and has only 3 previous owners, the last being for 30 years, it has covered only 200 miles since completion, and has covered a total only 43000 miles from new!

Just to say that I bought this car from Alan Carrington, who carried out the rebuild, on November 19 2003 . It took part in the E-Type Club tour to Spain in October 2006 and was pictured on the front cover in January 2007. New starter motor fitted by Colin Ford of the Jaguar Entghusiasts Club and the car is performing well. Entered for the E-Type Brittany run in Brittany in September.

Following a full restoration in 2003/4, the car is in regular use but subject to improvement and upgrading on an ongoing basis.
