This left-hand drive Series 2 roadster was imported from Ontario, Canada and owned in this country by an officer in the Armed Services. The current vendor purchased the car in 1998 from Woodmanton Classics in Worcestershire and recalls that it was in 'average' condition at that time though running well. While in the current ownership the floor has been replaced and the body re-sprayed British Racing Green, as traces of this colour, believed to be the original, were found beneath the existing 'willow green' finish. In 2007 the interior was re-trimmed and a new mohair hood fitted. Residing in Kent, the vendor has used the E-Type regularly, including trips to France, averaging a little more than 1,000 miles annually. Described as in generally good condition, the car is offered with sundry invoices, current road fund licence, MoT to September 2012 and Swansea V5 document. An XJ-S differential, replacing the low-ratio export unit, is the only notified deviation from factory specification.
