Jaguar : XKE
1971 JAGUAR XKE ROADSTER CONVERTIBLE 4.2

Miles: 59127 Doors: 2 doors
Transmission: Manual Interior: Black
Engine: 6 - Cyl. Year: 1971
VIN Number: 1R 13029 Exterior: Red

Vehicle Description: THIS IS THE ULTIMATE SPORTS CAR. EVER SINCE ITS INCEPTION, THESE HAVE BEEN ONE OF THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER SPORTS CAR MODELS. WITH THE RELIABLE 4.2, 6 CYLINDER ENGINE, THIS JAGUAR WILL GIVE IT’S NEW OWNER MANY MILES OF TROUBLE FREE, AND DEPENDABLE SERVICE.

PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS NOT A RESTORED CAR, BUT A GOOD ORIGINAL CAR, THAT WOULD NEED COSMETICS TO BE A SHOW CAR. IT WAS REPAINTED SOME TIME AGO FROM THE ORIGINAL CREAM TO RED, AND THE PAINT IS NOW SHOWING SOME FADING AND CHIPS, THE BLACK UPHOLSTERY IS IN GOOD USEABLE CONDITION, WITH NO RIPS OR SPLIT SEAMS, BUT THERE IS SOME DETERIORATION IN THE KICK PANELS. THERE IS SOME FILLER EVIDENT IN THE REAR QUARTERS, BUT OVER ALL, THE BODY IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION.

THE CONVERTIBLE TOP IS NOT NEW, BUT SERVICEABLE, AND IN ORIGINAL VERY GOOD CONDITION. CHROME KNOCK OFF WIRE WHEELS ARE IN VERY NICE CONDITION, WITH PIRELLI 185/15 WHITE WALLTIRES SHOWING ABOUT 1/3 WEAR. THE CHROME IS QUITE PRESENTABLE. THERE IS NO BROKEN OR CRACKED GLASS, HOWEVER THERE ARE SOME LAMINATION SPOTS IN THE CORNERS OF THE WINDSHEILD. THE DASH IS EXCELLENT, WITH NO SPLITS OR MARKS, AND ALL INSTRUMENTS WORK PROPERLY INCLUDING THE CLOCK.

AS FAR AS ACCESSORIES GO, THERE IS A BLAUPUNKT AM/FM STEREO RADIO, WITH AN ELECTRIC ANTENNA, AND A DRIVERS SIDE VIEW MIRROR. THE CAR HAS A TOTAL OF 59,127 MILES, AND WITH THE DUAL STROMBERG CARBURETORS IT STARTS INSTANTLY AND RUNS VERY WELL.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
