Sellers description:
This is officially an antique car. Anything over 20 years in good to mint condition is considered a classic antique car. Its a 1970 Jaguar XKE Roadster convertible E-TYPE 4.2 2 SERIES. Its Burgandy with Biscuit Tan Leather interior. It has a 1970 overhead valve engine, manual 4 speed, 6 cylinder,2 WHEEL DRIVE, 270 HORSE POWER 2 door convertible, Clock, AM/FM cassette radio, 3 carbs (carbeurator), Aluminum wire wheels, hard top, redline tire, Leather Interior, series II ROADSTER. This rare Jag. has been fully and completely restored mid 90's by a Jaguar specialist JON'S JAGS. I have many photos and letters /receipts to document the full restoration of this car. It has been upgraded to European 3 Carburetors, Includes after Parrish hard top (painted to match). The car has been stored well and only had 1 owner prior to this owner (2 total) and well cared for and the Bonnet has been aligned. You can't get better then this Series 2 roadster. Ever since the restoration in mid 90's car has been stored majority of time over being driven..

This car has been professionaly appraised and documented for value.

EXTERNAL- PAINT, CHROME, CLEANLINESS OF EXTERIOR, GENERAL APPEARANCE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION! No Dents, No rust, or no bubbles or waves..

condition of trim, emblams, weather seals, windows, top, convertible, vinyl, canvas all excellent condition.

ENGINE & Compartment- appearance of engine, compartment, wiring, rubber, overall appearance, after market parts, original parts in good to excellent condition.

INTERIOR- Condition of door panels, handles, knobs and dashboard (switches, knobs, gages) in excellent condition. Condition of seats, console, carpet, door sills & jambs, rubber door seals and new leather interior all good to excellent condition.

Headlights (regular and high beam), tail lights, brake lights, reverse lights, front turn lights, rear turn lights, side marker lights, emergency blinker, license plate light, horn, wipers, heater, radio and gauges all functioning and work. The only thing that doesn't work is the clock.

The only other work needed on car is it needs to be cleaned/detailed inside and engine compartment but that can be done before winner picks up car!

Current bid $15,000 reserve not met, 1 bid, 9 days left in auction. 90k miles. Car now located in Utica, Michigan.

Sellers description:
This XKE had a complete Body Off restoration aproximately ten years ago. This is an all numbers matching car with the original high performance, high compression six cylinder engine and four speed transmission. The car burns premium fuel. The car was completely rebuilt and restored by a professional Jaguar restoration company. It was completely disassembled for the restoration. The frame was sand blasted and painted. The body was sand blasted and rust removed. The car has no bondo. It is all steel. The engine and transmission were rebuilt. The car runs as good as the day it came out of the factory. The convertible top is new. There is also a removable hardtop. This car is nicely detailed. Mechanically it is definately a number one car. Cosmetically I would consider it a number two because there are a few minor nicks in the paint. The overall paint is excellent. It shines and shows nicely. The redline tires are new and the original Jaguar spoke wheels are perfect. This is a real head turner and one of the nicest XKEs around. I have many more photos. I also have documented photos showing the complete restoration including all diassembly and engine rebuild. A pleasure to drive and show.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
