Ebay item 3/9/10 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-series-1-5-1968-Jaguar-E-Type-Series-1-1-2 ...
Current bid $5,655 reserve not met, 13 bids 8 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
I am offering this straight and solid E, here on eBay for restoration.
This 1968 Jaguar E-Type Series one and a half, two plus two coupe has been in dry storage since 1979. It is very similar, if not exactly like the E-Type that Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder stole in the movie Silver Streak. The body is very straight, the floor pans are very solid and rust free, the bonnet is very good as well. There is some rust on the lower right side sill and some other isolated spots, but nothing too serious. The original leather is in very good condition, free from rips or cuts. All of the gauges and switches are there. The only thing missing that we know of are the two Stromberg carburetors, which are easy to find right here on eBay. The cylinder head has been removed from the 4.2 engine. At the time the head was removed, a heavy coat of grease was applied to the top of the block and pistons so corrosion would not be an issue. It is the original 4.2 ltr. six cylinder with BW automatic transmission. Here is your chance to purchase a Jaguar E-Type or XKE that is affordable and should be an easy and straight forward restoration.

Auction ended 12 March 2010. At that time eBay showed a Buy It Now of $8,495, but unsold with no bids received.
