Hi Mary,
Most '67 cars have open headlights, the change was made in January of '67. These are 100% series 1 cars with that one exception. '68 cars were 1.5s, those were first being built in August of '67 and continued until the series 2 car change.

This 1967 Jaguar XKE 2+2 is described as a running and driving project that was acquired by the seller in 2021 from the reported original owner following a three-year period of storage. The car is finished in yellow over black leather upholstery and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Features include 15″ wire wheels, fender-mounted side mirrors, chrome bumpers, dual center-exit exhaust outlets, triple SU carburetors, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a heater, and a push-button AM/FM radio. This XKE project is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, a tool roll, and transferable New York registration in the seller’s name.
The car was repainted in its current shade of yellow under previous ownership. Features include a louvered hood, fender-mounted side mirrors, chrome bumpers with overriders, and dual center-exit exhaust outlets. A dent on the front bumper and corrosion around the body are noted.
Chrome 15” wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 205/70 Cooper Trendsetter SE tires. A spare is stowed beneath the trunk floor.
The cabin features seats trimmed in black leather with a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpeting. Equipment includes lap belts for the front-seat occupants, a heater, and a push-button AM/FM radio. The seller notes that the air conditioning does not work and recommends replacing the rubber door seals.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset clock, and auxiliary gauges in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 23k miles, approximately 15 of which have been added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with triple SU carburetors and was rated at 265 horsepower when new. Work in August 2022 is said to have included replacing the spark plugs and performing an oil change. Corrosion is noted in the engine bay.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The seller reports exhaust smoke upon start-up. Corrosion is noted on some underside components.
Manufacturer’s literature and a tool roll are included in the sale.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for vehicles of its age. It is being sold on its transferable New York registration.
