Opening bid $10,000, no reserve, no bids yet, 6 days left in auction. Complete VIN on this car is J671E76197BW. 79k miles.

Sellers description:
When I bought this jag 10 years ago it was pretty much disasembled. it had a professionally rebuilt engine that had never even been started yet. I spent about 7 thousand for parts and put it back together just to drive it. it also had the automatic transmission converted to a standard. it wasn't ever intended to be a show car and i drove it around untill last year then put it up. it is a running and driving car and it isn't a rusted hull, but it is time to go thru it again. the engine runs great and i put no more than 5 thousand miles on it after putting it in.i'm going to put a realistic starting price on it so bidders don't have to look at reserve not met during the whole thing. i also have a basket case 68 that goes with it and some of the parts are the same.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
