Ebay item 10/21/04 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $5,000.00 (Reserve not met), 1 bid, 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Auctions To Go is proud to bring this 1967 XKE 4.2 to the Jaguar enthusiasts here at eBay! This striking Jag still retains the character that has made it one of the favorites of collectors decades after its market debut. If you are looking for a late 60's XKE but don't want to break the bank to get one....this is the car you've been searching for. The SUPER LOW reserve, combined with a moderate amount of restoration work on the part of the buyer will result in a vehicle worth significantly more than what it took to buy it here on eBay.
This 1967 Jaguar has some minor rust problems on both the lower left and right doors. Also, some minor rust can be seen when under the car on the left and right rocker panels and some on the rear belly panel. The paint (not original) does show some areas of chipping. Mainly this is found on the right door. The vehicle could use a paint job. The interior is in good condition for a 1967 vehicle. Some minor wear can be seen on the driver's seat in the entry area. The interior features factory A/C, heater, center console, automatic transmission, telescopic steering wheel, AM-FM radio (not working), and full instrumentation with tachometer. The engine compartment contains the original inline 6 cylinder engine with 3 carburetors. The car starts right up with help from the manual choke. The engine sounds and runs great. The brakes stop the car quickly and in a straight line. There doesn't seem to be any pulling to right or left from either steering or brakes. The power curve is smooth and the drivetrain is smooth and quiet. There are no detectable grinds, howls, or whines. The car seems quite tight with little evidence of vibrations or rattles. The tach and the radio are not currently functioning. The A/C is cool but not Ice Cold as it could use a freon recharge. This car has been professionally maintained and the owner has kept documentation of every service issue and its subsequent repair. Recent service includes, new fuel pump, new master cylinder, new exhaust manifold gaskets, new exhaust pipes, new fan motor and blades, new upper and lower heater hoses, new thermostat gasket, new sun visors, new Bosch battery. Please don't pass up this opportunity to own this heralded piece of British automotive history. The reserve is set well below the value a professional appraiser placed on this vehicle in 2002!
