Vehicle Description: 1967 JAGUAR E TYPE SERIES ONE 2+2
Offered here is a desirable 2+2 S1 with covered headlamps, 3 S.U. carbs and 4 speed transmission. This jag has been stored since 1974 and is an interesting barn find. It has matching numbers and is a very early 2+2 being the fourth car built, chassis number 76004. It has some interesting features such as separate door locks from the handles, also the interior door arm rests are different from other E types.
After being stored for almost 30 years in the dry Arizona climate, we cleaned the carbs, fitted new plugs and started the engine. It ran well considering its storage. It would benefit from cleaning the valves and seats.
The body is quite solid except for some rust in the drivers side floor pan and under the battery. The front & rear windshields were broken while in storage.
The car seems to be very complete. It has all the trim pieces and some additional parts as shown in the trunk photo.
As this is an interesting find, it would be a great restoration project, or an ideal donor car for a roadster rebuild. It still has 1973 Arizona plates and title.
