This is a classic 1967 Jaguar E-Type Series 1.25. It has a 4.2L DOHC straight 6 engine, Triple SU carbs, old-style toggle dash, and uncovered headlights. It came with factory air, which was removed, but I have some components (no compressor). It originally came with Borg Warner automatic transmission, but was converted with OEM Jaguar components to a manual 4 speed. I have the original transmission and components.
I purchased it in 1988, and rebuilt it to a daily driver.
Body work was completed in 1993 and professionally painted non-original BRG color. Passenger floor pan and part of rocker panel were cut out and replaced and there is no known remaining rust.
I parked it around 2004 when the head gasket developed a coolant leak to the outside. The clutch plate is stuck to the flywheel from storage.
Paint has several small dings from storage and parking lots. Big paint chip from left rear fender, scrape under leading edge of bonnet, and crazing of paint on top of right rear fender. I've tried to show these in the photos, but reflections make it hard to view accurately. The interior is in poor shape and should be completely re-done.
I've done my best to represent what I know about the car and condition. This is a great restoration opportunity for a very rare series. Please keep in mind it is a 57 year old car and is a project that will need considerable work.
