Seen on Ebay, 5/2003. Ad reads:
"This original 1-owner car has been stored since 1979. All complete, untouched black on black car with minimal evidence of rust. The paint is original and body is in need of minor body work- door dings and one small dent on top of hood and small dent on top of passenger side roof. These are minor dents and an easy fix for any body man. The chrome trim is all there and in good condition. The front bumper bar is bent and an easy fix. The rear bumper is in good condition. All rubber weather stripping is torn, cracked and needs to be replaced. Glass is in good condition. The headlight covers are clear and in good condition. The only sign of rust (bubbles of rust) is on the rear quarters panels, behind the rear tires (wheel wells)- see picture. The doors, rear hatch and hood all line up and open/close like new. The interior seats and carpet need total restoration. The dash is in good shape with all gauges intact. The center console leather is torn and needs restoring. The 4.2 liter engine does not turn over and needs to be rebuilt. This 1967 Jaguar XKE 2+2 is just waiting to be restored and driven. Please look at the prices of fully restored XKE's and you'll realize that this one is a great investment! Engine# 7E50198-9 Body# 4E-50171 Trans# EJ11269
