www.coys.co.uk/fpA207.php

Auction description:
TRUE GREATS, Royal Horticultural Halls, London
Tuesday 7th December 2010
Royal Horticultural Halls
Elverton Street, Westminster, SW1P 2PE

1967 Jaguar E-type Series 1 2+2
Lot 752
Registration Number: LJN 744E
Chassis Number: 1E50798BW
Estimate: £16,000- £20,000

This S1 2+2 E-Type is finished in the desirable gun metal grey, with blue leather interior. Purchased by the current vendor in 1984 following a large amount of restoration, LJN 744E has subsequently been subject to an engine rebuild, and has recently been fitted with a new stainless steel exhaust and manifold. With a current MoT until May 2011 and UK V5 registration document, this four-seater E-Type is not only practical but offers accessible E-type ownership for the 50th Anniversary next year.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
