I purchased this car in 1969.
There is a dealer installed A/C which relocated the windscreen washer bottle to the L/H side of the firewall and slightly relocated the radiator expansion tank to make room for the AC compressor.
Today it has 41K original miles. Painted & new interior in 1983. Kept garaged and only rained on once since 1984.

    Repainted in 1980, otherwise original.

    Correction to recent post:
New paint and interior 1983 rather than 1980 paint only. Always garaged and looks fantastic! Recently shown by invitation from Jaguar Cars of North America at Amelia Island in connection with their new F-Type rollout-see updated photo.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
