    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Coupe-STUNNING-1967-JAGUAR-E-TYPE-SERIES-I ...
Seen on eBay, October 2007. Ad reads:

    "1967 Jaguar E-Type Coupe

    - NO RESERVE -

This is an excellent example of a series 1 coupe. This car starts right up, idles smoothly, revs well, and sounds great.

The E-Type has long been regarded as one of the most beautiful and timeless body styles for classic automobiles. The lines are smooth and the powerful engine allows for spirited yet comfortable driving.

The overall presentation of this automobile is very nice. The chrome on the bumpers and trim is presentable as is the paint.

This automobile shifts smoothly through all gears and tracks well on the road with Michelin tires. The mechanicals have been gone over and are up to date.

The brakes are tight and the accessories work including the radio.

The car was purchased in 1989 by the current owner with 67,500 miles. There has been less than 10,000 miles driven since this time.

There is a stack of records that go through work that has been done on this car since 1989. Some of this includes replacement of the power booster, master cylinder intake valves, exhaust valves, valve guides and clips, cam followers, cam bearings, valve springs, valve spring seals, and hardened seats which allow for unleaded gasoline without damage to the engine.

The engine was fully cleaned and stripped with a light surfacing and was painted and polished to the original specifications. There was also a 3 angle cut valve seat, hand lapped valves, all guides were fitted, the cams were fully adjusted, and head assembled.

There has also been replacement of all four brake calipers, removal and replacement of brake reservoir floats, and replacement of alternator and accessory belts.

This list goes on but this is some of the major mechanical work that has been done on the car which proves its roadworthiness.

The cosmetics on this car are appropriate for an automobile that should be driven and enjoyed.

The driver's front and rear wheel wells look solid. There is noticeable bubbling behind the driver's front wheel closer to the door which is six to eight inches long. The rest of the drivers floor and rails look in good shape with no holes or serious rust noticed.

The passenger front and rear wheel wells also look to be solid without any major problems found. The passenger rails and floors are in good shape.

The rear undercarriage is fine; there are some scratches and surface nicks from being driven. The front end is in a similar fashion to the rear.

The doors, trunk, and hood open and close nicely without any sticking on rubbers. These items feel very solid and the fitment is good.

The interior is complete and is the original color. The seats hold well but do show some age. The door panels themselves are in good shape, but are separating a bit at the front from the doors on both the drivers and passenger sides.

The glass and rubbers are in nice condition. The headliner is not sagging and does not have any tears.

There are some surface nicks and scratches around the car, however the only significant ones are on the drivers side of the hatch and gas door as shown in the pictures.

The oil pressure is good, idling at 40 pounds and steady at 60 when in rpm range. There is also a slight exhaust or heat shield rattle.

The car comes up to temperature appropriately and holds. This is a smooth all around driver that has a complete service history since its purchase by the current owner in 1989 who has cared for it properly.

A flannel fitted car cover is included. Bidders have the opportunity to purchase a timeless body style Jaguar that they can get in, turn the key, and drive.
