Car to auctioned in Paris 11.11.2012:

Auctioneer's description:
rench registration
Chassis No. 1E31363
Engine # 7 E 4848-8
- In exceptionally original state
- Desirable Series 1 Coupe, matching numbers
- 63,000km from new, just 2 owners
- In the hands of the same family since the beginning
This Jaguar E-Type has two particularly attractive features. First, this is a Series 1 coupe, considered the most beautiful body style on this model, with its delicate details and before the cosmetic changes that happened thanks to American regulations. What's more this car has remained in the same family since new, knowing only two owners, father and then the son. Delivered new by the garage Delecroix, the car changed address in 1967, and from that moment on, maintenance has been provided by the garage Roger Loyer, as can be seen from the invoices. The current owner, the son, remembers that the car was used more specifically for travelling between Paris and the family home in Biarritz. And his sisters fought for the enviable seats at the rear, when they had to go into town.
In 1996, the car passed into the hands of its current owner who retains the original Parisian registration. He has maintained the car very carefully, with the car receiving a new coat of paint, and since then the car has covered barely another 10,000km. The counter shows 62,800km corresponding to the mileage of origin and, recently, various mechanical details have been executed by Americo Automotive, from Argenteuil, a suburb of Paris. This matching numbers Jaguar E Type is exceptionally well preserved and is in an original state that is very rare, something that fans will value even more than a car that has been completely restored.
Estimation 35 000 - 55 000 €

I own 1E31943, which was also a French car with OSG exterior and Dark Blue interior. I have the same import tag on my firewall.
