at the moment the car is undergoing a paint restauration. The gold comes off and dents taken out.(left door, bonnet and a parkind dent in the rear) there is no nead to take the car apart because under doors, windows, bonnet and carpets the wears it's original colour (1965 creme glasurit) and is satsfactory. Besides i prefer to keep it original as it was built.
Technically the car is ready to take its RDW-test in Holland. brakes, hoses, engine etc was well looked after and is working properly.
    So far my small report.

    Hello there:

it's been a long time, but i'm back with more info about the state the restauration is in at the moment.

First of all, i would like to express my disregard to the firm i started with. Firstfloor at Zevenhuizen in Holland, they did a l*!?sy job.
On the other hand give a big compliment to the people who took it over. Eri and Jim, thank you and keep your way of working like it is now. People out there, you can leave your project with Eri and Jim (Firstfloor) with confidence again.

At the moment it is sprayed for the second time and i agreed on totally finishing it at their location.

As a surprise effect on delivery to my wife, i let the interiour renew totally.
My point is that i am a little a freak when it comes to originality. I change from black to dark red leather. It is not listed as a period colour, but on the other hand i look at it as an option.

Please comment on the mail, i'm interested, greetz Nol

Thank you, Nol, for your kind comment about First Floor Restorations. We try our hardest to give classics a second live and we sincerely hope that is exactly what your beautiful car will have.

Today is a very special day! The car passed its RijksDienst voor het Wegverkeer in Holland. And is now expecting dark blue classic plates.
Then there will be a small holiday and maiden trip planned with the car in a few days.

    Greetings Nol

    Hi all,

Thanks for this interesting history on the 1E31208. This car is now in my possession in Belgium - Bruges. Slowly but surely we are renewing small parts to improve the driving. Main brake pump renewed - carburators revised entirely - new electric wiring and new and better performing ventilator installed. We had a great Maiden trip of 700 KMS in 3 days. All went well. Will keep you posted on following activities. Kind Regards. Marc
