This example is noted to have had close to £40,000 spent on it in the last six years, with work including a full bare-metal respray which took in excess of 600 hours to complete. It also benefitted from an engine strip and rebuild with fitment of a new clutch kit.
The seller is the fifth registered keeper, and has owned it for 10 years.
This car has just completed a 2,500-mile tour of Europe without fault.
Any inspection is welcomed by the owner.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
This E-Type is finished in Dark Blue over a grey leather-trimmed interior with a black dashboard, toggle switches, Smiths dials, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel.
It rides on a set of 15-inch chrome wire wheels with twin-eared Jaguar-branded knock-offs, which are wearing period-correct appearance Blockley 205/70VR15 tyres.
Modifications include a 123 electronic ignition system, high-flow oil pump, stainless steel exhaust system, high-torque starter motor, high-capacity alloy radiator with cooler thermostat and manual operated fan override switch, air conditioning, Series 3 wire wheels, upgraded front brake callipers. Series 2 rear brakes, Series 2 adjustable seats with headrests, a Clarion tape deck with electric aerial, an interior battery isolator switch, a laminated front windscreen, heated rear screen and a hazard warning switch.
The vehicle will be accompanied by three separate files of maintenance invoices, as well as a tool kit, jack, a spare wire wheel, and its knock-off hammer.
Photos fully documenting the rebuild also come with the car.
As a ‘Historic’ registered vehicle, this E-Type is of course exempt from the London ULEZ charge.
CONDITION
The car is noted to have been recently detailed and ceramic coated.
Specific notes from the seller include: the exterior is in excellent condition, while the interior is in very good order, with recently reupholstered seats and new cushioning.
The seller is not aware of any electrical or mechanical faults.
The most recent MOT test took place on 2 September 2022 at 94,900 miles, resulting in a first-time pass with no advisories. The seller notes the car will come with a fresh 12-month MOT certificate, with the test performed prior to collection.
SERVICE HISTORY
The latest service was done at Bardon Brothers at 95,128 miles, before its European tour earlier in 2023.
Prior to this, the car was serviced in summer 2022 which was an engine oil and filter change, an air filter clean and an inspection and check of the engine tune.
The seller notes the car covers around 1,000 to 1,200 miles each year, has been serviced annually, and the timing chain, guides and tensioner were replaced in 2016.
