Sellers description:
The lovely example offered here dates from the first year of what has become known as the Series 1 1/2 Roadster. The car shows well in its original Old English White, with excellent chrome and chrome wire wheels.
The interior surfaces of black leather are all original to the car, remain very soft and supple, and show fine patina. The black convertible top has been renewed.
The car was subject to an extensive restoration some years ago, with accompanying photographs showing a bare metal repaint, re-plated chrome, and refurbishment of all mechanical parts. The starting point was a rust-free California car, with good "bones".
The original 4.2-liter engine is strong with great power, and mated to a smooth shifting gearbox. Brakes, suspension, and steering all work well, as do all electrical systems. The car has been well maintained, and in the same celebrity ownership for more than 10 years. Restoration costs were in excess of $40,000 and the car has covered only 4300 miles since.
This is a fine example of true British classic top-down motoring, with excellent ownership history and with a restoration which has stood the test of time.

Sorry, I may have mistaken, quite likely your car was made in January 1968, not late 1967 like I thought when we met!
So I am sure your special registration does honor to the car, a very nice survivor! Cheers!
