Hi Dave;
Would be interested in seeing your car sometime. My wife and I are from Windsor and visit her father there a couple of times each year. We also have a '68 ( 1E 17727 ) which we purchased in Connecticut in 2003. It's been a great car and we enjoy it immensely . Good luck with your restoration !
Regards,
Don

Ebay item 11/19/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $17,100 reserve not met, 9 bids, 6 days left in auction. 70k miles.

Sellers description:
1968 Jaguar XKE Series 1.5 roadster. This vehicle has a 4.2 litre six cylinder twin overhead cam, 4 speed manual transmission. Vehicle does need some cosmetic touch ups but the car runs and drive wonderfully. Nice and tight, steers and brakes like new. Ready to drive and enjoy.

Has been stored indoors in a climate controlled garage. I have a copy of the JCNA judging sheet and scores as follows:

Mechanical 64.3 out of 70
Interior 180.5 out of 290
Exterior 222 out of 290

This vehicle is an excellent candidate for the do it yourselfer. You can do the work yourself and watch your investment grow at the same time.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
