This E.type , is undergoing a ground up restoration , by myself , It still has its original Paperwork , inc "Bill of sale " , Guarantee , Maintenance vouchers ,etc , in their original folder , which i am very lucky to have ! He was even charged $7.50 , for Anti-freez e ! The total cost of the car was $6,047.35 , And he was allowed , $800.50 , on a trade - in allowance , on his 1964 MGB , convertible .The first owner had it until 1977 , and the second owner had it up untill 2004 . Amazeingly , I have managed to trace the first owner , and have had a very interesting conversation with him about his old E.Type .

Am i correct in beleiveing that my E , is one of the last U.S. spec , Tripple S.U. cars built ? as 1E16094 is on twin Strombergs . Parts book anyone ? Also Maroon ( opalescent } seems to have been a pretty popular colour choice in 1967 . My cars first owner told me that he ordered that Colour as it was Classy at the time !

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
