Ebay item 7/5/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1967-JAGUAR-XKE-ROADSTER-LOW-MI-EXCELLENT- ...
Current bid $17,099.09 reserve not met, 6 bids, 4 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
This is a very nice 1967 Jaguar E Type Convertible , appears to be a very late series I ( no covered headlights but with 3 carbs and correct dash toggleswitches and placement of taillights I've been told. ) with a nice colour scheme too : Primrose Yellow with biscuit interior ! Beautiful car , no rust anywhere to be seen , and she has a very straight body. Looks like an older . prof. frame-off , or combination of that and a sound , original car. All chrome including bumpers is very nice. The only pitting is on top of the taillights. Softtop and boot are like new. This car can be a showcar with very little effort ; just needs a prof. detailing , e.g. in the enginebay , like polishing the valvecovers etc. Paint is very strong , has a nice shine , and the leather interior is in excellent shape, nice and soft , no cracks or tears anywhere. No rust in the trunk either , or the underside and the spare is a chrome wirewheel also. Showing a very believable low miles ,( 50 K ) which are currently marked as " actual miles " on the title. The engine runs very strong and sounds great ; we just had all 3 carbs rebuilt , and there's no noise or smoke coming from the engine at all.. I have not driven it very far yet , as I'm over 6 ft. tall and too big to really fit in it , but I did drive her a small distance , enough to know that the clutch and brakes work fine too. Again , my expertise is more in big American pre-war cars so I'm not going to pretend I know a lot about Jags. However , I do know enough about cars to be able to honestly tell you this IS a very nice car all around. Check my feedback on eBay , and you'll see I give honest descriptions on hi-dollar cars as well as lowerpriced ones. These E-Types have been appreciating steadily , and they should ; people feel they are a great looking and driving car. I've priced this car competitively ; I'm going on a roadtrip very soon , and the less cars I have in my Florida warehouse during hurricane season , the better ! Now , I've been asked to look at some no's on the car , so here goes : The v.i.n. plate is on the car and looks to be all original. the carno. ( also on chassis of course) is 1E 15928. On the head of the engine it says 7E1732-9. On the vinplate , the engine no. is 7E13989-9 , so the head must have been replaced at one time. I've looked on the side of the engine , and the only no. I could find sofar is stamped / casted in the block , and it is C28200FF. Hope that helps for you no. folks. As always , I encourage anyone interested to come out and inspect the car before you buy , or at least send someone knowledgable about the car. THIS IS A VERY NICE CAR !!! You can be comfortable buying her , I've been in business here in ft.Lauderdale for over 26 years . I own this car , it's been paid for and I have clear title.

This car should not be classified as a Series 1, but as Series 1.5 per the JCNA '68 Judges' Guide, page 2, based on the OTS, LHD Build records. The Series 1 ended at 1E15888. Your xkedata.com website has also confirmed the same information in the "About the XKE" section under "Models", showing the differences between the 4.2 Series 1 and the Series 1.5. This car is a Series 1 1/2.

It has been entered in multiple Jaguar JCNA concours events and most recently scored 9.984, and it is driven to the events... This car is currently in Columbus, Ohio.
