ORIGINAL ONE OWNER VEHICLE

This is a ONE OWNER 1967 Jaguar XKE 4.2 Roadster with matching numbers that was purchased brand new in 1967 by it's original and only owner. Mileage is 82,996. It was just removed from the garage of the recently deceased original owner where it was stored since 1980. The owner purchased a new one in 1980 and then parked this one in his garage where it has been sitting since 1980 until his recent death. It has not been driven or started since the day he parked it in 1980.

According to his widow, he lost interest in it after purchasing a new one and just let it sit in the garage. She said after he parked it the battery eventually went dead, the tires went flat and for lack of interest he never made an attempt to start it and use it again. So for the last 28 years it just sat there in his garage. We have not and will not make any attempt to start it.

It's a very original car that has NOT been modified or altered. It is Opalescent Maroon with black leather interior. There is some rust in the front floor boards along with various dents and dings plus general deterioration from age. The underside appears to have been well protected by a heavy layer of undercoating. The trunk compartment is in excellent condition complete with the original matching wire wheel spare and factory issued tools.

The car has never been wrecked according to the owner's widow. The dent in the bonnet happened when the car was moved by an incapable wrecker truck driver. The other various dents, dings and scrapes occurred while it sat for years in the garage from the inattentive opening of car doors from vehicles in too close proximity, unsupervised children with their bicycles and toys as well as preoccupied teenagers on riding lawnmowers.
