According to its corresponding Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, this 1966 E-Type Series I Roadster is an original left-hand-drive example completed on March 16, 1966. It was dispatched to distributor Jaguar Cars, New York on April 5th, and sold new to an owner in Queens. Eventually, the E-Type relocated to Arizona and remained there for many years. The car's second Arizona-based owner acquired the E-Type in 2004; and then in 2011, it was subsequently acquired by the consignor, at which time the car was reportedly pristine and a perfect restoration candidate. The consignor restored the E-Type to concours-level standards over the next two years, with paintwork by the noted Aaron Strom of Bainbridge Island, Washington. During the restoration process, an upgraded alternator and starter were installed for heightened ease of operation; however, the original show-detailed items, including the alternator heat shield, do accompany the sale of the car at auction.

Having traveled approximately 56,900 original miles, the E-Type is offered with brochures, a factory hardtop and Stayfast hood envelope, manuals, and correct tools, plus restoration photographs and receipts. Beautifully presented in a striking black on black color scheme, it now stands ready to compete in its first JCNA concours event, marking a great opportunity for the lucky new owner of this expertly restored Series I 4.2-Litre E-Type Roadster.

    SOLD: $209,000
