RM Auction, Amelia Island, Florida, 3/9/2002. Lot #104. Sports Car Market report:

AM/FM CD. One-owner car represented at sale by same. Older restoration has flaws through use, but shows well. Paint divots where the top hits the body, scrape in trunk lid. Clean underhood, but not detailed. Covered headlamps. Good panel fit.

The car is in good care with the current owner. The car is being well maintained and restored on a meticulous schedule. The current owner is the second owner of the car and has retained all original repair receipts and docs. It is a true joy to drive!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
