Sellers description:
THIS SERIES ONE XK-E CAME FROM AN ESTATE. THE LAST OWER HAD THIS CAR FROM 1989 AND IT WAS LICENSED UNTIL OCTOBER OF 2005. THE ENGINE IS NOT ORIGINAL TO THIS CAR BUT IT IS A SERIES 1 E-TYPE 4.2 LITRE WHICH MAKES IT THE CORRECT TYPE AND DATE PERIOD. ITS NUMBER IS 7E 2348-9. A NOTE BOOK FROM THE OWNER SHOWS THAT THE ENGINE WAS REBUILT DURING HIS OWNERSHIP. IT APPEARS THAT THE MILEAGE SINCE THE REBUILT IS ABOUT 500. WE REBUILT AND CLEANED THE CARBS AS THE CAR HAD BEEN SITTING FOR SOME TIME. THE ENGINE RUNS GOOD, CLUTCH AND TRANSMISSION ARE GOOD. THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES. THE BODY IS VERY GOOD AND HAS HAD ONLY SOME MINOR RUST REPAIR ON THE BOTTOM OF THE LEFT SILL. THE FLOORS, STRUT POINTS AND TRUNK FLOOR ARE ORIGINAL AND GOOD. THE FRAME NUMBER MATCHES TO THE VIN PLATE. A REALLY EXCELLENT CAR TO REFINISH. THE ORIGINAL EXTERIOR COLOR IS BLUE. ACTUAL MILEAGE IS UNKNOWN.
